Each planet is represented by a trace of a different colour which can be displayed or hidden using the buttons at the top. Solid lines show the times when planets rise; dotted lines when they set. Also shown, with a thick black line, are the times when the Sun rises and sets. Various thinner black lines indicate the progress of twilight after sunset and before sunrise.
